Similar Films

Memento PosterMemento (2000) is a psychological thriller directed by Christopher Nolan which tells the story of a man (Guy Pearce) attempting to find the identity of his wife's murderer which is the last thing he remembers as he's suffering from memory loss. The film is split into two story lines as one is moving forward in time while the other one is moving backwards revealing more of the backstory each time.  This is similar to our films as it utilises flashbacks and visions to progress the story, giving the audience the background information in portions. The film also combines this with symbolism as character played by Guy Pearce is seen holding a book which is a constant reminder of his deceased wife and acts as a portal to the past. This is something we have with out prime numbers as the images of Vincent being killed are directly connected to the numbers.

Shutter Island PosterShutter Island (2010) is a psychological/mystery thriller directed by Martin Scorsese. The storyline follows the main character Teddy Daniels (Played by Leornado Dicaprio) who is assigned to investigate the disappearance of a patient from Boston's Shutter Island Ashecliffe Hospital. Teddy took this assignment on due to personal reason but has a suspicion that he's been brought here as a part of a twisted plot. All looks promising in the beginning but a hurricane cuts off communication with the mainland and leads to more criminals escaping, thus multiplying Teddy's suspicion which leads to him doubting his memory, co-workers as well as his sanity. The film is similar as it utilises the theme of unstable minds which is seen throughout the film.

Fight Club (1999) is a psychological thriller/drama directed by David Fincher. It tells the story of an insomniac office worker (Edward Norton) who is seen attending support groups in an attempt to help him with his emotional state and his insomnia problems. Though his life is seems to become more bearable, he is dragged into an underground fight club/soap making when he meets Tyler (Brad Pitt) and his life finally changes thanks to his new friend. Tyler however is revealed to be not who he thinks he is and discovers his hidden agenda. This film is similar to ours as it features internal battles throughout the plot with Norton's character attempting to figure out his problems.
