Possible Distributor - William Haines

Possible Distributor

Looking for a suitable distributor for our film. An ideal film distributor would be a company which has not only a lot of experience in the industry in general, but also experienced in helping to release films of the same genre of ours. Which would be 'Psychological Thriller'. Our film would be a product which we have spent a long time and possibly a lot of money in producing, it goes without saying that you would want to entrust it to a capable and trustworthy company.

There are a few distributors situated in the UK. There are quite a few which are subsidiaries of American Hollywood companies.

20th Century Fox

20th Century Fox being one of the more prominent ones, a lot of films under it's belt, it is a trustworthy and very capable company. Not only does it have experience in psychological thrillers, it has had experience distributing and producing films of all various genres. 20th Century Fox is certainly very mainstream.

They have released many successful films. Films like Avatar (2006) and Deadpool (2016) are especially notable. Not forgetting classics like Titanic and Home Alone. 20th Century Fox has a rich history in the film business.

Altitude Films

Altitude films is a company which distributes films produced by smaller companies. A lot of the films distributed are from the UK, they are usually quite short. They distribute films of various genres, some are nice and happy while others are depressing. Also, the company distributes films of various mediums, such as animated films. This company has had experience in distributing films similar to ours. Like 20th Century Fox, it is quite ideal.

Compared to 20th Century Fox, the films released by this company are primarily independent productions. They are usually films which belong to the 'weird' category. Usually abstract in nature and mostly tell a very profound story. Or they have a very profound underlying message in them. They have not released any really notable films, this does not mean that the company is lacking in professionalism or skill.
