Possible Distributor - Altitude Films

Altitude Films is an independent British film company encompassing production, finance, sales and UK distribution. The company was founded in May 2012 by Will Clarke, who also founded Optimum Releasing which he sold to Studiocanal in 2006. As it states on their website Altitude Films "embody the originality of British Film and jointly, the richness of their experience rivals that of any Independent outfit currently in the marketplace." This shows the companies dedication is producing original films that they are passionate about and that don't appeal to a mass audience, therefore not conforming to the typical Hollywood stereotypes. This is one of the main reasons I think Altitude Films would be a brilliant choice as a distributor for this film as they are known for very different and obscure films that push the boundaries of what audience an audience comes to expect. Some of their majorly successful films have been 'My Scientology Movie' and 'My Friend Dahmer', which all are not typical films and they all explore very sensitive subject areas.

Due to our film being a psychological thriller with also some comedy aspects in it, it isn't a typical film that will appeal the mass audiences. This is the main reason why I believe Altitude Films would be a great distributor for our film as their pre-existing audience expect great films that don't conform to typical stereotypes and want films that really push the boundaries and explore new areas and topics. So overall I think Prime Time would fit into their already existing and growing catalogue of films that break away from typical genre conventions and make original storylines which is the overall plan with our film.
